AEIOU Scientific is developing instruments based on patent-pending Cortical Bone Mechanics Technology™ (CBMT) to help scientists measure what they could not measure before: accurate, non-invasive, direct functional measurements of structural mechanical properties of cortical bone in the ulnas of living people.
Our CBMT Scientific Instrument, SI-001 is now available for commercial purchase. Please contact us to inquire or place an order.

Why the Name AEIOU Scientific?
- The Company’s name starts with A, because Anne Loucks, PhD, of Ohio University started the development of CBMT.
- EI is at the center of the Company’s name, because measurement of flexural rigidity (the product of the elastic modulus E and the cross-sectional moment of inertia I) is at the center of what CBMT instruments measure.
- The Company’s name ends with OU, because Ohio University is where CBMT was developed.
